In his 1897 paper, he thanks Payson for his help in his work. Supposedly, the cabin in the horse pasture at Deep Springs Lake originally came from here. It might be the gabled structure on the right.

These images were scanned from a yearbook assembled by David Mossner, consisting of mimeographed text and mounted photographic prints; prints scanned separately and entire document also scanned as PDF, Mossner_yearbook_64-65_17DEC0304.
Note presence of gravity flow irrigation channels running across the alfalfa fields (known as 'checks'). Total acreage at this time is approximately 140 acres. These fields remain intact as of 2017, with addition of 15 acres north of main fields.
