The lower waterfall in this canyon is at an elevation of about 7,500 feet, is perhaps 200 feet high, and there is a series of cascades, natural slides, and smaller falls above. We saw it on the topo map and decided to investigate further. We hitchhiked out of Deep Springs, and rode up Chalfant Valley on the hood of a jeep (there was no room inside).
