Notes

Photo taken by Charles D. Walcott, director of the US Geological Survey, later Secretary of the Smithsonian and a friend of LL Nunn, has 3 sons in the Telluride system. In his 1897 paper, he thanks Payson for his help in his work. Supposedly, the cabin in the horse pasture at Deep Springs Lake originally came from here. It might be the gabled structure on the right.
