Notes
John was owned by Andy Fairchild DS67 and later Gary Mahannah DS70; he had been mistreated and was badly behaved - Merritt Holloway said he was only good for saving a good horse when you were just out covering the country. He bucked me off two or three times. I'm wearing a favorite Deep Springs T-shirt quoting Blake - "the road of excess lead to the palace of wisdom." DEC 10/2017.
