White Mountain Peak from the south, on a clear but very windy day

WMRS has several stations at various elevations in the White Mountains. This is the main base east of Bishop, at about 4000 feet.

One student is shooting raisins into the open mouth of another, apparently missed quite a few. As of 2020, the table has been in active use in the boarding house since at least 1960.

Willow Springs is a water stop in the Last Chance Range used perennially by students trekking to Death Valley, on foot or horseback. This would be its appearance in the 1940s.
