Notes

At this time, White Mountain Research used a helicopter to travel between its 4 stations at 4000, 10,000, 12,000, and 14,000 feet (a small landing pad just north of White Mountain Peak). The pilot's name was Tony. I think it eventually proved too expensive to continue operating. DEC 10/2017
