Notes
The airstrip had some connection with a military training program during WW2, at which time there was a high turnover of students arriving from high school and proceeding into the military. When I arrived (1969) the airstrip parallel to the entrance road was still there (including a wind sock), but was wiped out by the flash flood in late summer. I recall no evidence of the larger strip in this picture, parallel to the highway - DEC 10/2017
